Capturing Moments

after the totally surreal and intense last week in helsinki and a brief but crazy stop in köln for the karneval, i am back home...

.

it is so weird to be back to my normal life (it is even weird to say it...) nothing seemed to change...the people, the city, the cafés, the talks...it feels as if i changed between 2 parallel realities...both are my lives, i am the same and at the same time it seems i was 2 different persons...

.

everyone asks me for details and news...but i am lacking the words, i miss the most strangest and regular things...the sound of the snow,going to the laundry, shopping in alepa, the voice saying "kannelmaki gamlas", hiding all the alcoholic drinks while we are in the train,a tea in carusel and an expresso in mbar, the way finns totally changed from week to weekend, the people that came to be my family, the ones that know me for 7 months and the ones which i just had 7 days of a chance..searching helsingin sanomat for the magic words vapaa pääsy (free entrance), a concert on the church on the rocks, walking above the sea, having two excuses for everything "you are erasmus" or "it's the weather", kippis with the (very bad) 1 euro-onnela-happy-hour-beer, having to hear salsa quite loud all day long (and then nora singing over it), sauna and running in the snow with a towel in one hand and a beer in the other...going to a disco and listening hist from the 80's mixed with bob sinclair

just don't get me started...

...after getting on a bus without a fixed destination and walking more than 15mn in the middle of a forest, i found another piece of paradise...

Neste belo domingo de inverno, fomos esquiar a convite do Petteri...pequeno pormenor: NUNCA tinha feito esqui na vida...sem aulas apenas com amigos a ensinar (nora e heikki)...reconheci que a coragem e loucura andam mesmo muito perto, mas por entre pequenas equimoses e mialgias lá me safei...mas sinto como se tivesse andado a pancada (e perdido!)
